About this coffee

This batch comes from Muraho Trading Company's Cyesha Coffee Washing Station in Nyamasheke, Rwanda. Muraho Trading Company was Founded by two brothers, Karthick and Gaudam Anbalagan, they prides themself on showcasing high-quality specialty coffee from the region.

The volcanic soil and high altitude of the farm, up to 1800 meters above sea level, contribute to the exceptional flavor of their coffee. The washing station, located near Lake Kivu, benefits from the ideal wind flow for drying the coffee. Cyesha has strict standards, only accepting red ripe cherries and subjecting them to a rigorous sorting and processing process. This washing station is also their newest addition, being built in 2022.

Muraho Trading Company continues to lead in innovation, being the first to produce natural and honey coffees in Rwanda in 2016. They are now exploring new processing methods at Cyesha, including honeys, anaerobic fully washed, and anaerobic naturals.

Ruben had the priviledge to join Rehm&Co's origin trip to Muraho Trading Company in 2024. Then and there, he bought this coffee after sampling the first samples for the 2024/2025 harvest. Back here we all agreed this coffee would be one to look forward too.
